CIA removed Imran Khan for opposing US drone operations

LONDON: Craig Murray, a former British Ambassador, has stated that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) removed Imran Khan, leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), from his post as Prime Minister due to his resistance of US drone operations.

The ex-British Ambassador took to Twitter to express his opinion that the ex-premier was removed from office due to his stance against the US drone campaign “operating within and out of Pakistan”.

The CIA’s deposing of Imran Khan as Prime Minister, for his opposition to the US drone campaign operating within and from Pakistan, is probably the most under-reported story of the last couple of years.

The ousting of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) due to his resistance to the US drone campaign in and from Pakistan has likely been one of the least-reported stories in recent years, according to Craig Murray’s tweet.

Mentioning it here is relevant: the no-confidence motion tabled by opposition parties against Imran Khan, the Prime Minister (PM), was successful, leading to his removal.

A record-breaking 174 votes were cast in support of a no-confidence motion against Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, making it the first time in the country’s history that such a motion against an elected leader has been successful.

After the resignation of the National Assembly (NA) Speaker and Deputy Speaker, PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq took the helm as the Chairman of the House and presided over the proceedings on the matter.
